High-waisted swimsuits are in and I LOVE it. There’s so much less pressure to have abs now LOL.
But in all seriousness, I do love the fit of a high-waisted swimsuit. It hits at the smallest part of your waist, and if you buy a high-cut bottom, it totally elongates the legs.
It feels retro and classy all at once! And if you’re looking for more booty coverage, it’s a nice way to do that without feeling too matronly.
So naturally, I had to find two high-waisted swimsuits to rock, photograph, and share with you! I opted for some fun patterns. They’re way less of a staple suit, but I’m always down for something a little more extra. That’s just me 🙂
AND leopard is trending in a major way, another thing I’m loving right now.
This darling leopard suit is a total steal, fit for any tropical drink or coconut toting moment. The top is adorable and I’ve contemplated wearing it with high-waisted jeans or a high-waisted skirt. It’s snug on the gals and feels really slimming throughout the ribcage and shoulders with the way it’s cut.
I’m obsessed with the bottoms! If you want a sexier high-waisted look, THESE ARE IT. It’s cut higher at the hip and the band around the top of the bottoms accents the waist even more so. They’re stretchy too! I went with a size small, but could have done a medium (I like to be able to pull them up super high!).
Shop the top here, and the bottom here!
OK, the colors got me on this one. Nautical circus vibes 😉 BUT HOW FUN!?
This is a total Wendy Peppercorn swimsuit, ya feel me? Hence the vintage sunglasses I paired with it. And the matching lavender hair scarf is actually a scrunchie with the scarf tails attached, so it’s super convenient for throwing your hair up in a cute messy ponytail or bun.
Both the top and bottom (linked) fit like a dream with plenty of stretch. I opted for a size small in both.
Let me know what you think of these looks and if you end up buying, you know I love seeing your pics, tag me!!
